Latest Transfer News July,23, 2013

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign left-back as cover for Jose Enrique:
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told that he is keen to add a left-back to his squad before the transfer window closes.Spain reports says that he is lining up a move for Valencia's Aly Cissokho on a season-long loan deal to provide cover for first-choice left-back Jose Enrique.
Rodgers tried Glen Johnson and Andre Wisdom in the position last season before restoring Enrique, who impressed over the 2nd half of the campaign.
he said."There are obviously certain areas of the squad where we're a bit thinner than others,"
"We probably need a bit more support - that extra bit of quality - at the top end of the field and that's something we'll look out for.
"That'll be mixed with needing cover in the left-back position - that's something we're looking at. It's not really about numbers, it's about quality.
"If we can do that over the next number of weeks we'll be happy."

Rodgers also revealed that a deal to send goalkeeper Jose Reina on loan to Napoli, managed by former Reds boss Rafael Benitez, has yet to be finalised.
"The latest was that there was an offer to take him on loan but that's something that hasn't been discussed any further," said Rodgers, who recently signed Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet on the deal of £9m.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas confirmed his interests in Valencia striker Roberto Soldado:

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed his interest in signingt he striker of Valencia,  Roberto Soldado.
Villas-Boas is willing to increase his attacking options as he has only Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor as senior strikers to call upon in his squad. He has been linked with a move for Soldado and reports have revealed that Spurs' director of football Franco Baldini visited to Valencia on Monday to meet with the club and the player's representative.
Soldado has a €30million (£25.8m) release clause in his contract and any deal for the Spain-international would break the record of Spurs' transfer.
Yet no deal has been agreed between the two clubs and Villas-Boas stated that the 28-year-old is just one of the option under consideration.
Villas-Boas at a press conference in Hong Kong said :
"At the moment, he's just one of the players we are interested in," .
"It's not a lie to anybody that we've been looking for a striker to strengthen our squad and to have more strength in depth. "Roberto is one of the players we have been following and his career speaks for itself. He's a great striker."
"But there isn't a deal being struck at the moment, it's just interest and conversations."

Liverpool have also shown in their reports an interest in Soldado, but Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic is confident that the former Getafe forward's release clause will put off other clubs.

Djukic told reporters in Spain. "I do not believe that any club will pay Soldado's buy-out clause,""What I think is that he will stay with us, although I cannot guarantee anything. In football and in life you have to be prepared for anything. "We all want him to stay and we think that he will, but it is possible that someone could actually meet that buy-out clause even if I do not think that will happen. "For now, he is our player and we are counting on him. "Since the start we have said that Soldado is not for sale and that the only way that he could leave is if someone meets the buy-out clause amount and the player accepts it."

President Amadeo Salvo, of Valencia meanwhile, also stated on Monday that he wants those clubs reportedly keen on Soldado to make their intentions known sooner rather than later amid claimed a deadline of 3rd August has been set for any deal to be struck.

Salvo told Speyer: "The message we have to give is that we need tranquillity. "If Soldado leaves in the near future, near to the end of the transfer window, we will have to find a replacement"

Jose Mourinho Conformed to send Chelsea teenager Nathaniel Chalobah out on loan:
Jose Mourinho has confirmed Nathaniel Chalobah will be one of several Chelsea youngsters to be sent out on loan this season.
Chalobah has to make his first-team debut for Chelsea yet, but impressed during a loan spell at Watford last season and featured 42 times for the Championship club.
The 18-year-old teenager also played for England at the European Under-21 Championship in the summer and is currently part of Chelsea's pre-season plans.
However, Mourinho wants Chalobah, who can play well in defence and midfield, to spend another year on loan before pushing for a first-team spot at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho Said
"We are thinking of letting him go on loan for a last season," . "That is our intention. He knows. We have discussed that with him.
"He is a very, very good player. I like him very much - very, very much. I am very impressed. For sure, a Chelsea player (in future), for sure. We think he is there.
"He could be in our squad already. But we think one more season and it will be his last one out on loan.
"We will see whether or not it is a Premier League club."
Mourinho also confirmed that Lucas Piazon and Josh McEachran will go out on loan again this season after spending time at Malaga and Middlesbrough respectively last term.
Wallace is heading for a loan spell as the Brazilian full-back does not yet qualify for a work permit and he has been linked with Italian trio Genoa, Inter Milan and Roma.

Former Tottenham
defender Ledley King believes Gareth Bale will stay:

Bale won ,the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year following a superb last season for Andre Villas Boas' side.
The Welshman has been linked with a big money gone away from White Hart Lane - with Real Madrid and Manchester United among rumored suitors - but has always claimed  he is happy in north London.
And King is convinced Bale will be part of Spurs' forward for the Champions League next season.
he told Sky Sports News."The season he had last year was a big part of our achievements, and he knows we'll be looking to do the same this season,"
"I know Gareth's happy, he's come back in good spirits and I'm hoping he's going to have a good season again."
King also believes the 24-year-old will take the speculation over his future in his stride.
"I think you get used to it as a player," he added. "The kind of player he's grown to be, it's something that you have to deal with.
"He's a good lad, he's got a good head on his shoulders and he knows the main thing for him is just to concentrate on his football and the rest will take care of itself."
